![]() The Lance Fullagar Vineyard is located about 4 miles south of the Yates County seat village of Penn Yan, on the west side of Bath Road, and both sides of G. Fullagar Road. Soils are mostly high quality, well drained, Capability Class IIe gravel based soils, including Langford gravelly silt loam (Lb) and Howard gravelly loam (Hv) 3-8% slopes. There are also small amounts of 15-25% slope Howard (Hw) Class Vie and heavier Ovid silt loam (Os), 3-8% class IIe as well as a small amount of Valois gravelly silt loam (Va), 5-15% located mostly in the drainage ravines and woodland acres. What this means in plain English is that it's perfect for vineyards.
